Festival Weekend – Brunswick Square

Festival Weekend – Brunswick Square

Brunswick Festival is a vibrant annual community festival that takes place in Brunswick Square, Hove

Brunswick Community Festival Group is a not-for-profit volunteer led organization – without the hard work and dedication of our many volunteers, the festival would not happen!

The inclusive event celebrates the diversity of our local community, is aimed at a mixed, local community and intergenerational family audience and is fully accessible to people with disabilities.

This Year’s Festival is delivered once again in partnership with Brighton & Hove Heritage Commission.

We pride ourselves in taking care of our environment and leaving no trace – Brunswick Square is tidier when we leave than when we arrive!

Something for everyone!

An inclusive, fun filled family weekend with a FREE programme of live music, DJs, dance groups and a spectacular children’s parade. Willowisp family area with circus skills, face painting, carnival arts, games and more for 0-90!

Sustainability Commitment Statement – Brunswick Festival 2026

Brunswick Festival is committed to delivering a community-led event that minimises environmental impact and promotes responsible stewardship of Brunswick Square and its surroundings.
We operate a “leave no trace” approach, ensuring the site is returned in at least the same condition following the event.
Environmental responsibility is embedded throughout planning and delivery, with a focus on reducing waste, encouraging reuse, and avoiding unnecessary single-use materials.
We promote sustainable practices among traders, performers, volunteers, and visitors, including the use of recyclable or compostable materials where possible, supported by clearly accessible waste separation and recycling facilities.
We encourage sustainable travel by promoting walking, cycling, and public transport, and we prioritise local suppliers, performers, and community groups to reduce transport impacts and support the local economy.
Visit the council’s JourneyOn Travel and road safety website for live transport info.

POLITE NOTICE – Brunswick Square is a DOG FREE ZONE. There is a long standing local Council bye-law which prohibits dogs in the Square year round, and local residents are keen to ensure the Square remains a safe and dog poo free place for people to enjoy, and particularly for young children to play freely. Please help us to support this initiative by not bringing your dog to the Festival. Avoid disappointment, as no dogs (registered service dogs excepted) will be allowed entry.
